Privacy statement
In this privacy statement, "we", "us" and "our" mean PricewaterhouseCoopers (Dubai Branch) - a branch of a foreign entity, registered and existing under the laws of the UAE, holding Professional License No. 102451, having its principal place of business at Emaar Square, Building 4, Level 8, P.O. Box 11987, Dubai. "Tool" refers to the Digital Trust Manager tool.
Collecting your information
When you use the Tool, we collect a limited range of information about you. Your name, company name, email address, user login information, location, IP address and browser details are collected and processed, as well as the information about how you use the Tool, measured by Google Analytics.
Do we collect sensitive information about you?
We don't intend to collect sensitive personal information about you through the tool. Sensitive personal information includes information about your race or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, trade union membership, criminal records, physical or mental health, sexual life, biometric data, or genetic data. You should not provide any sensitive information in connection with the Tool.
How do we use your personal information?
The purposes for which we collect your personal information in connection with the Tool and the purposes for which we may use it are:
- authenticating the identity of the Tool’s users, authorising access to the Tool (including preventing unauthorised access) and for other security-related purposes, including system monitoring
- operating, administering, managing and improving the Tool
- providing you with information about us and our range of services.
We will not pass your information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. The information you provide via the Tool may be combined with information of other people or parties to create outputs that we make available to other parties, provided you cannot be identified from those outputs.
Where will my personal information be transferred or stored?
"PwC" is a global network with PwC Member Firms located around the world. A PwC Member Firm which collects your personal information may transfer and disclose that information to other PwC Member Firms for any of the purposes set out above. Your personal information may be transferred outside the country where you’re located. This includes countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA) and countries that do not have laws that provide specific protection for personal information. Where we collect your personal information within the EEA, transfer outside the EEA will be only:
- to a recipient located in a country which provides an adequate level of protection for personal data,
- to a recipient who is ‘EU-US Privacy Shield’ certified, or
- under an agreement which covers the EU requirements for the transfer of personal data to data processors or data controllers outside the EEA.
We use resources and servers located in various countries around the world to process your personal information. Your personal information may also be transferred to third party service providers who process information on our behalf, for any of the purposes set out in this statement. Third party service providers may include providers of information technology, identity management, website hosting and management, data analysis, data back-up, security and storage services. The third party service providers may also use their own third parties (sub-processors). Our third party service providers and their sub-processors are bound to maintain appropriate levels of security and confidentiality and to process personal information only as instructed by us.
We may disclose your personal information to law enforcement, regulatory, or other government agencies or to other third parties as required by, and in accordance with, applicable laws or regulations. We may also review and use your personal information to determine whether this disclosure is required or permitted. We may also disclose log files for security-related purposes.
How do I access the personal information you hold about me?
If you would like to exercise your rights under applicable law to obtain details of the personal information we hold about you, or to correct that information, please contact us at mer_digitaltrustsupport@pwc.com. We may charge for a request to access your personal information, if permitted under applicable law. You can contact us at the same e-mail address if you have a complaint about our handling of your personal information.
How long will PwC retain my personal information?
We will retain your personal information for as long as is required for any of the use or purposes described above, or longer if required or permitted by applicable laws or regulations.

Will my information be secure?
We have appropriate technical and organisational security measures in place to protect your personal information from loss, theft, misuse or destruction, including unauthorised or unlawful disclosure or processing of your personal information.
Changes to the Privacy Statement
Any changes we may make to our privacy statement in the future will be posted on the Tool and, where appropriate, communicated to you via e-mail. Please check frequently for any updates or changes to our privacy policy.
